Andrew Forrest
Champion hydrogène vert.
Australian entrepreneur Andrew Forrest founded Fortescue and built it into one of the world's largest iron ore producers. He is now steering the company toward green hydrogen and renewable energy, with a commitment to eliminate direct emissions from its operations by 2030. Together with Nicola Forrest he established the Minderoo Foundation, one of Australia's largest philanthropic organisations, which campaigns against modern slavery and plastic pollution and for ocean health. Holding a doctorate in marine ecology, he carries these causes into international forums.
He embodies an industrialist putting his own assets to work for decarbonisation, with quantified targets and large-scale philanthropy that shapes global debates.
